We undertake to adhere to the applicable data protection law, especially to the provisions under the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG, Federal Data Protection Act) and the Telemediengesetz (TMG, Telemedia Act). We do not collect, process, and use your personal data unless we have obtained your consent or unless the processing or use is permitted under legal provisions. We do not process or use any data other than those required for using the website or those you submit to us. We reserve the right to adapt the contents of this Privacy Notice from time to time, which is why we recommend checking this Privacy Policy at regular intervals.
3. Processing and use of your data
3.1 Registration
Within the scope required for the purpose of the registration and the performance of mediation contracts, we collect, process, and use the personal data submitted to us on a voluntary basis in connection with your registration as a user of the Service and by completing your account information:

If users submit personal data for the purpose of getting in touch with them, these data will only be stored for as long as required for the purposes of communication, customer contact and project planning/implementation.
The data that are submitted during the registration and when getting in touch with us are stored on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 Sec. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can always revoke any consent you have given. All you have to do is email us an informal notification. The lawfulness of the processing that occurred before submission of your revocation remains unaffected.
The data collected during the registration and when getting in touch with us will be stored for as long as you are registered on our website. Afterwards, they will be erased or, where applicable, anonymized if deletion is impossible. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
3.3 Data transmitted when concluding a contract for services and digital contents
We do not disclose personal data to third parties unless required within the framework of the contract execution, e.g. to the credit institute commissioned with the payment transaction.
The collection of these data occurs for the purposes of operating and optimizing the App and on the basis of Art. 6 Sec. 1 lit. f GDPR, which permits the processing of data when necessary for the fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measures and the purposes of legitimate interests.
3.3.1 Heroic Labs
In CATAN Universe, we use Nakama hosted in the Heroic Cloud by Heroic Labs, a service for managing player accounts, implementing multiplayer games and performing usage analyses. Other back-end systems are used as well. Nakama hosted in the Heroic Cloud allows us to analyze and statistically evaluate game processes. The statistical analysis is performed anonymously. 3.3.2 Game Analytics

3.4 Cookies
Our Service also uses cookies. These are text files containing information on your use of the Service (visited web pages, number of visits, time of the visits, time spent on individual pages, browser, operating system, etc.). They are stored on your hard drive if permitted by your browser settings. Cookies are plain text files, which is why they do not intervene in the system of your computer, but only affect the way in which the contents of the visited website are displayed.

Our employees and partners are bound by confidentiality obligations and committed to compliance with the data protection regulations.

4. Payment services
Payment services allow the Service to process payments made by credit card, bank transfer, or other methods. To ensure a particularly high level of security, the Service only transmits the data required for carrying out the transaction with the financial intermediaries commissioned with the transaction.

The Service uses « demographics », a feature offered by Google Analytics. This function allows creating reports that contain information on the website visitor’s age, gender, and interests. These data have been generated from interest-based advertising on the part of Google as well as from third-party visitor data. They cannot be assigned to a specific person. Physical and technical measures as well as procedural measures are used to protect all data stored with USM from being accessed by unauthorized third parties. Access to the information is limited to specifically authorized persons in compliance with this Privacy Notice.
Your data will only be retained for as long as necessary for the processing of your order and the purposes stated in this Privacy Notice and/or for as long as we are required and/or allowed to retain your data under statutory or legal provisions.
8. Your rights
Revocation of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations cannot be performed unless we have obtained your explicit consent. You may always revoke any consent you have given. All you have to do is delete the respective app. The lawfulness of the data processing that occurred before the submission of your revocation remains unaffected.
